China opera is a combination of China drama and musical, and its origin can be traced back to the third century. There are many branches of local operas in China, among which Peking Opera is the most famous. Peking Opera appeared in the late 18th century and was fully developed and recognized in the mid 19th century. The operas of the Qing Dynasty (Qing Palace) are particularly popular and regarded as one of the cultural treasures of China. China operas use masks. Masks without colors represent different meanings and are used to represent characters, their emotional state and general personality.
