The customs of American Samoa

Samoa is a country with strong Polynesian traditional culture. For thousands of years, Lisa has always attached importance to maintaining her traditional culture and lifestyle. Kava is an endemic plant in the South Pacific, belonging to the family Zanthoxylum. Its roots can be made into powder and can be drunk after being dissolved in water. It has the effect of relieving summer heat and calming the nerves. The Kava ceremony has a set of fixed procedures, including activities such as presenting Kava to distinguished guests and important people, but the whole process is in Samoan, which foreigners can hardly understand and can only do whatever they want.

Samoans live on taro, bananas and breadfruit. The traditional method is to cook these foods with hot smooth stones, which is called Umu.
