Because this is the function of the brake booster, the vacuum booster obtains the vacuum force source from the intake pipe of the engine and stores it in the vacuum tank. This phenomenon occurs when the engine is turned off and the brake pedal is depressed many times.

If it is found that the vacuum booster does not work during use, please check the vacuum booster. If the pedal is found to be heavy, the air tightness test of the vacuum booster should be carried out.

Solution:

1. Start the engine and run for 1-2 minutes, then turn off the engine. Depress the brake pedal several times with the force normally used for braking. If the first stroke is large, the stroke will gradually decrease, indicating vacuum assistance. The equipment runs well; If there is no change in each stroke, it means that the vacuum booster or vacuum pipe is leaking and should be repaired.

2. When the engine is not running, press the brake pedal several times with normal braking force to confirm that the pedal stroke has not changed, and then keep the brake pedal in the pressed position to start the engine. A slight decrease in pedal height indicates that the vacuum booster is working normally.

3. Press the brake pedal when the engine is running, then turn off the engine and keep the pedal in the depressed position. After about 30 seconds, if the pedal height does not change, the seal is good; If the pedal rebounds, the vacuum booster is faulty.
