Introduction of batik skills of Miao nationality
Batik of Miao nationality is one of the traditional handicrafts in China. Batik is a traditional skill handed down from generation to generation by Miao people in Danzhai County, Anshun County and zhijin county. It was called Wawali in ancient times and Wutu in Miao language, which means batik clothing. Batik printed cloth dyed with indigo, with white flowers on a green background, has strong national customs and local flavor, and is a unique flower of national art in China. On May 20th, 2006, Miao batik skills were approved by the State Council to be included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.
