What is the heating principle of automobile air conditioner?

Does the hot air blown out by the car air conditioner really come from the heat generated by the engine? Yes, most car heating systems on the market now are water heating.

Generally, the water heating and warm air device takes the cooling liquid in the cooling system of water-cooled engine as the heat source, and introduces the cooling liquid into the heat exchanger in the car, so that the air inside the car or the outside air sent by the blower exchanges heat with the cooling liquid in the heat exchanger, and the heated air is sent into the car by the blower.

Coolant from the engine flows through the thermostat. When the temperature reaches 80℃, the thermostat opens to let the engine coolant flow to the heater of the heating system. A hot water switch is set between the thermostat and the heater to control the flow of hot water, and another part of the coolant is diverted to the radiator. The cooling liquid dissipates heat in the heater, heats the surrounding air, and then is sent to the car by the fan; The coolant comes out of the heater, is pumped away by the water pump, and re-enters the radiator of the engine to cool the engine, completing a heating cycle.

Automobile air conditioning system consists of five parts: refrigeration system, heating system, ventilation system, air purification system and control system.

Refrigeration system: cool and dehumidify the air inside the car to make the air inside the car comfortable and cool;

Heating system: heating the air in the car and providing warm air to the car to achieve the purposes of heating, dehumidification and defrosting;

Ventilation system: the fresh air outside the car is sucked into the car to play the role of ventilation. At the same time, according to the different positions of function keys, the flow direction and distribution of cold and warm air flow are changed to realize temperature coordination and improve comfort;

Air purification system: remove suspended dust, odor and toxic gas from the air inside the car and purify the air;

Control system: by controlling the flow, direction and temperature of the air in the car, the temperature range set by the driver is realized; By controlling the engagement and disengagement of the electromagnetic clutch of the compressor, the pressure of the refrigeration system is prevented from being too high.

The air conditioning system can adjust the temperature, humidity, flow and cleanliness of the indoor air of the automobile, and can prevent or eliminate fog and frost on the windshield, providing a comfortable environment for drivers and passengers. According to the degree of automatic control, automobile air conditioning can be divided into manual control, semi-automatic control and full-automatic control.
