What are the characteristics of Huang Zhou's paintings?
Huang Zhou (1925~ 1998), formerly known as Zhou, was born in Lixian County, Hebei Province. 1940 studied painting in Zhao Wangyun, 1945 went to the northwest to sketch with Zhao Wangyun. From 65438 to 0948, he joined the China People's Liberation Army and served as a journalist and Art editor. After the founding of New China, he served as a lecturer of Northwest Normal University, a creator of the creative department of the Political Department of the Beijing Military Region, a creator of the military museum, and the vice president of the Chinese Painting Research Institute. In his later years, he founded Yanhuang Art Museum and served as curator. Mainly engaged in the creation of figure paintings, showing more national themes, especially the description of donkeys. His paintings are based on sketches, lifelike and full of life breath. Representative works include Singing and Hundred Donkeys.
