Seeking the difference between space reconnaissance and traditional reconnaissance

The traditional investigation is carried out manually on the ground through real-time fields or with the help of telescopes and other equipment.

Space reconnaissance is a technology to obtain reconnaissance information by using reconnaissance equipment such as photoelectric remote sensors and radio receivers on spacecraft. Space reconnaissance is developed on the basis of aerial reconnaissance, space technology and remote sensing technology. 1959 and 1962, the United States and the Soviet Union launched their first reconnaissance satellites respectively. Since then, it has developed particularly rapidly. Take the photographic reconnaissance satellite as an example. By the mid-1980s, its ground target resolution could reach 0.15 ~ 0.3m. Space reconnaissance has become the main means of modern strategic reconnaissance. Space reconnaissance mainly undertakes strategic reconnaissance tasks, and can also perform tactical reconnaissance tasks or provide circumstantial evidence for tactical reconnaissance information. The characteristics of space reconnaissance are: ① high orbit, fast target discovery and wide reconnaissance range. ② It can monitor the whole world repeatedly for a long time, and it can also monitor a certain area regularly or continuously. ③ Reconnaissance information can be provided in a short time or in real time, which can meet the requirements of timeliness of military information. ④ Not limited by national boundaries and geographical conditions. Space reconnaissance can be divided into satellite reconnaissance and manned space reconnaissance according to the spacecraft used. According to its reconnaissance function, it can be divided into photographic reconnaissance satellite, missile early warning satellite, electronic reconnaissance satellite, ocean surveillance satellite and nuclear explosion detection satellite. Space reconnaissance system is divided into two parts: space and ground. The former includes reconnaissance equipment and spacecraft carrying them, as well as tracking and data relay satellites that transmit reconnaissance information to the ground; The latter includes ground monitoring station, information receiving station and reconnaissance information processing and interpretation analysis center.

I think the biggest difference is that traditional reconnaissance is based on human beings, while space reconnaissance is based on spacecraft.
