Development of traditional bow

The bows used by Sesia and Salmatia people are relatively short, about 80 cm long. As time goes on, the length of the bow will increase.

Hungarian bow, also called Xiongnu bow, is 120 cm long. Archaeologists believe that the Huns first used the bow, so the Xiongnu bow is more powerful. The upper and lower arms of Xiongnu bow are different in length, and the upper arm is longer than the lower arm. The purpose is to facilitate riding and shooting.

The Yaba people have a Xiongnu bow on their bow, and the length has not changed much. But the angle and shape of the bow are different from those of Xiongnu. Mongols use bows similar to Yabar. The difference between them lies in the angle of the arch. When the bow is not wound, the latter's bow bends inward 30 degrees, and the former's bow bends inward 60 degrees. Mongolian archers will be equipped with compound bows for short-range shooting and long-range shooting.
