What is a Mongolian horse?

Mongolian horse originated from Mongolian grassland, which is the most widely distributed and largest number of ancient grassland horses in China. Widely distributed in Inner Mongolia grassland, pastoral areas, semi-agricultural and semi-pastoral areas and agricultural areas in East China and North China.

It has different degrees of influence on horse breeds all over the country. Mongolian horses are strong and rough, with large and heavy head, multi-level neck, low armor, straight back and waist, short and oblique hips, moderate chest width and depth, stout and upright limbs and different hoof firmness. The coat is thick and dense, the mane and tail hair are long and dense, the hair spacing is developed, and the hair color is mixed. The fur is mainly brown, black and chestnut, followed by green hair. Strong adaptability, grazing in grassland all the year round, heavy snow in severe winter, no feeding, no shed, can dig snow for food. The grass season gains weight quickly, has strong love and disease resistance, and can basically adapt to the climate all over the country.
