What is China literature? What does China literature contain?

As a unified multi-ethnic country, China has its own history of occurrence, reproduction and development, as well as its own values and achievements, such as the Tibetan epic Biography of King Gesar, the Uygur narrative poem Fule Wisdom, the Dai narrative poem Zhao Shutun, the Yi narrative poem Ashima and the Mongolian narrative poem Gadamerin. Minority literature and Han literature complement each other, which makes China literature show great richness and multi-level.

Poetry is one of the earliest artistic forms in China literature, and The Book of Songs is the earliest collection of poems. Among them, the earliest poems were produced in the early years of the Western Zhou Dynasty, and the latest poems were produced in the middle of the Spring and Autumn Period. Then, a new poetic style-Chuci emerged, and the brilliant representative of Chuci was the great poet Qu Yuan. The national style in The Book of Songs and the Chu Ci represented by Lisao are two typical examples of China's ancient poetry. In terms of creative methods, Guo Feng and Li Sao respectively created the poetic traditions of realism and romanticism in China literature. During the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties, a new poetic style, Yuefu, with a strong sense of reality, appeared, which was an important symbol of Yuefu. Mulberry on the Stranger, Peacock Flying Southeast, Mulan Poetry, etc. are all treasures in China's ancient long narrative poems. In the development of Yuefu poetry, the sentence patterns of five-character and seven-character became more and more noticeable. By the end of Han Dynasty, Nineteen Ancient Poems appeared, and the poetic style of five-character poetry was basically mature. Seven-character poem came into being later than five-character poem, and its popularity was around the time of Jin and Song Dynasties. After the full preparation of Yong Ming style poetry represented by Shen Yue in Qi and Liang Dynasties, modern style poetry entered its heyday in the Tang Dynasty. During this period, ancient poetry and modern poetry developed in an all-round way, and world-famous great poets such as Li Bai, Du Fu and Bai Juyi appeared.
