Traditional Culture Around Me 400 Words 4th Grade

The Spring Festival is coming soon, and I know that everyone must like it very much. Because everyone can put up Spring Festival couplets, watch the Spring Festival gala, and visit friends and relatives ......

I remember that last year, when the Spring Festival was coming soon, I was learning to write couplets at home, and I stood by and watched the grown-ups writing the couplets.I only saw that they took a brush in their hands, dipped it in the ink, and then wrote a few big characters on the red paper. I can't remember the details. That one couplet was so neatly written that when I saw it, I said to my uncle, "Can you teach me how to write a couplet?" I clearly remember my uncle asking, "Do you know how to use a brush? Do you know how to write couplets?" I shook my head and said, "No." So he added, "You've grown another year older this year, and you actually don't even know how to use a brush yet, so let me take this opportunity to teach you a few tricks." I jumped up and down with joy at Uncle's words.

Uncle told me to sit up straight when writing and not to lie down on the table. Then he told me in detail how I should use the brush. After listening to my uncle's words, I finally learned how to use the brush in the most basic way. Then my uncle asked me to write some words for him to see. I wrote five words: "I love China the most". I wrote them in a crooked way, probably because I had just used a brush! Uncle saw it and smiled, "The words are well written, but the strokes are not straight."

So he taught me, "You don't have to use the same amount of force to write each character, but you have to vary the amount of force you use to write each character, so that the character will be more varied and look more beautiful. After he finished, he even demonstrated a few words for me to imitate. It was very comfortable to watch my uncle's writing. I tried to write a few words in the same way as my uncle, and I really made progress, it looked much better than what I had just written.

And he also told me that I need to train more often and imitate the famous posters. The more you write, the better your handwriting will look.

In this Spring Festival, I learned some initial skills of writing brush characters, which was more enjoyable and affordable than getting new year's money.
