Brief introduction of Xiyuan Hospital of Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Xiyuan Hospital of Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine was established in 1955, covering an area of over 60,000 square meters and a building area of over 80,000 square meters. It is the first large-scale Chinese medicine hospital built by the central government after the founding of New China, and the first institute of clinical medicine, gerontology and clinical pharmacology of Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is a large-scale comprehensive third-class first-class Chinese medicine hospital integrating medicine, science, education and health care, a national model Chinese medicine hospital and a designated medical institution for basic medical insurance in Beijing. It is also one of the traditional medicine cooperation centers of the World Health Organization and the network hospital of the International Emergency Rescue Center of the Ministry of Health. It is the national medical center for hematological diseases, geriatric diseases and cardiovascular diseases of traditional Chinese medicine and the training base of "Western learning middle class" of the Ministry of Health.
