Americans spent10.25 billion to buy an old house in China, and it took eight years to transport it back to the United States for maintenance. What happened now?
Many people think that the construction of urbanization cannot be based on the destruction of ancient buildings, and some buildings with historical value should be preserved, while some people pay more attention to urbanization and economic development and think that the protection of cultural relics needs concessions.
Americans spent 654.38+25 million yuan to buy the old house in China.
Not only many scholars in China are fascinated by the ancient culture of China, but also many foreign scholars are fascinated by the long history of China. There is an ancient house in China, which is already facing the fate of demolition. An American scholar couldn't bear to see the ancient building demolished, and spent 65,438+25 million yuan to buy the house.
This ancient house is called Yinyutang, located in Huangcun Village, Xiuning County, Huangshan City, Anhui Province. It was built by a wealthy businessman named Huang in 1800- 1825 (Jiaqing period of Qing Dynasty). This ancient house covers an area of 4500 square meters. It is the floor of a canyon, an open-air courtyard with four waters, an inner bedroom, a nave, a storage room and a storage room.
In the middle and late 1980s, this hall gradually became vacant, and the descendants of Huang moved away one after another, and the building was also facing the fate of being demolished. Bai Ling 'an, director of the China Art and Culture Department of the Bibodi Museum in Selling Town, Massachusetts, USA, loved this ancient building from the first sight. He heard that the Yuyin Concert Hall was going to be demolished, and he traveled across the ocean to China, and finally agreed to buy it, and the expenses involved, including packaging and transportation to the United States, needed 650 yuan.
American scholars moved Tang Yingyu back to the United States and spent eight years repairing it. Now it has become a famous scenic spot.
Bering 'an bought this ancient building and brought it back to America. In the spring of 1997, 2,700 pieces of wood, 8,500 bricks and 500 stones were removed from Yin Yutang, loaded into 19 40-foot containers and shipped to the United States. Seling Town took eight years to rebuild.
The reverberation hall rebuilt by American Museum is the first and only ancient Huizhou architecture in the world. The restored American Aftersound Concert Hall is almost exactly the same as that in China, which has consumed countless human and material resources. Although the investment is huge, Bering 'an said that this will enable people from different countries to explore and understand China's art, architecture and culture, and also realize that human beings have rich life connotations in different life forms. This is a very worthwhile work.
Bering's attitude towards ancient buildings may make us reflect. These ancient buildings are the wealth left by our ancestors. Tall buildings can be built, but when they are demolished, there will be no more. What do you think of this? Do you support demolition or protection? Welcome to leave a message below to discuss.
