Chaoshan traditional culture enters the house

In the ceremony of Chaoshan people entering their homes, there is usually an important person called "uncle" or "old man" sitting in the main seat, responsible for presiding over and directing the whole ceremony.

This role is usually played by the eldest brother or elder brother who enters the house. His duties include announcing the beginning and end of the ceremony, directing the actions of family members and other people attending the ceremony, and praying for peace and prosperity to the gods on behalf of the family.

In addition to "big uncle" or "old uncle", other relatives, such as mother and brother-in-law, will also play an important role in the ceremony of entering the house, but their duty is usually to help the big uncle complete all the work as needed, rather than sitting in the main seat.
