How to calculate market share
Market share, also known as market share, is the market share of a company's products in a certain period. Divided by the total market sales of the products, the percentage value obtained is the market share of the company's products in that period. For example, if the company sells 20 pieces of product B, and the total amount of product B sold in the market that year is 100, then: 20/ 100 * 100% = 20%, and the market share of your company's product A is 20%.
Note: According to the different market scope, there are three basic methods to measure market share:
1, the overall market share, refers to the proportion of the sales volume (amount) of an enterprise in the whole industry.
2. Target market share refers to the proportion of sales volume (amount) of an enterprise in its target market, that is, the market it serves.
3. Relative market share refers to the ratio between the sales volume of an enterprise and the sales volume of its biggest competitor in the market. If it is higher than 1, it means it is the leader of this market.
