A story about "keeping promises"

First, Ceng Zi kills pigs.

Ceng Zi's wife is going to the market, and her son is following her. His mother (Ceng Zi's wife) said, "Go back and wait for me to kill pigs for you when I get home." When his wife comes back from the market, Ceng Zi is going to catch a pig and kill it. His wife stopped him and said, "It's just a joke with the children."

Ceng Zi said, "Children can't play with him. Children are not sensible. They have to rely on their parents to learn step by step and listen to their parents' instruction. Now you cheat him, you are teaching him to cheat. If a mother cheats on her son, he won't trust her. This is not the way to educate his children. " So he killed the pig and cooked it.

Second, a story of commitment.

Once upon a time, there was a man named Lu Bu, who kept his word and would certainly do what he promised others. So there was a saying that "it is better to have an appointment than not to have an appointment". This sentence has been passed down to this day, and people use a thousand gold and one promise to describe a person who is very trustworthy in words and deeds. It is a traditional virtue that our Chinese nation has been advocating since ancient times.

Third, Jin Wengong withdrew its troops and occupied the city.

Jin Wengong once sent troops to besiege the "original" land, and before he left, he announced that he would withdraw immediately if he could not capture the city in three days. Three days later, I saw that the other party had no food and surrendered in just one day; Jin Wengong insisted on withdrawing troops. He thinks it is more important to keep his promise to the people than to occupy the city. As a result, because of Jin Wengong's honesty, he moved the other side and proposed the surrender of the whole city.

Fourth, the story of Han Xin's gratitude.

Han Xin, the founding hero of the Han Dynasty, was born in a poor family when he was a child. An old woman who works as a servant sympathizes with him, supports him to study and gives him food every day. Han Xin is very grateful. He said to the old man, "I must repay you when I grow up." Later, Han Xin was named King of Chu by Liu Bang. He took the old man to his palace and treated him like his mother.

5. Soong Ching Ling went to the appointment in the rain

On one occasion, she went to kindergarten and made a promise to the children to spend the holidays with them on Children's Day. However, the weather changed suddenly that day, and there was a strong wind and heavy rain. Teachers and classmates all thought grandma Soong Ching Ling would not come. When they looked out of the window in disappointment at the gray weather, grandma Soong Ching Ling's car miraculously appeared at the campus gate, and the children smiled with surprise. The teacher excitedly held grandma Soong Ching Ling's hand tightly. Grandma Soong Ching Ling said to the teacher, "Now that you have said it, you have to do it."
