How long does it take for an apprentice of NC programming to become an apprentice?

CNC programming apprentices generally have three months of basic courses. If the enterprise needs half a year, it depends on the individual's comprehension ability. NC programming is the main content in the preparation stage of NC machining. There are two methods: manual programming and automatic programming. It is the whole process from part drawing to obtaining NC machining program.

Being a CNC programmer requires high requirements and great responsibilities, so it requires rich processing experience. In this case, it is unrealistic for students who have just left school to do this position at once. It takes a period of exercise, ranging from one or two years to three or five years.

CNC programming can choose to engage in production management, mechanical product design, CNC programming and processing operations, CNC equipment installation, debugging and operation, CNC equipment fault diagnosis and maintenance, transformation and after-sales service.

Extended data

Numerical control operators, students who have been trained in numerical control practice and operation are competent, but the competitive pressure of this job is the greatest. Any engineering vocational school has this major, let alone students in secondary vocational schools and technical schools.

NC programmers use automatic programming to generate NC machining programs in many machining enterprises, so they need to learn CAM software. Different companies use different kinds of CAM software, but the processing methods are almost the same, so we must learn one well.

There are also CNC sales staff. The salary of this position is the most generous, and the required professional knowledge is not so much, but it requires outstanding eloquence and good social skills, which is not something that ordinary people can do.
