The whole process of making grey water jiaozi is as follows:

Materials: glutinous rice 1000g, clear water 1kg, plant ash 150g, and red bean paste 200g (optional).

1. Add 150g plant ash into 1kg clean water, boil it, reduce the heat for 2 hours, cool it and clarify it overnight. The next day, the clarified plant ash water was filtered with multilayer gauze/coffee filter paper to obtain brown plant ash water. If there are many impurities, it is recommended to filter them several times.

2. Wash 1kg round glutinous rice, add the same amount of plant ash water to soak for 6-8 hours, and take out the drained glutinous rice balls. Glutinous rice will be stained with a faint beige color after soaking.

3. Put the glutinous rice between 2-3 leaves, roll it up on both sides, then wrap the head and tail and tie it with zongzi rope.

4. Tie the jiaozi, put it in a pressure cooker without adding water, cook it until SAIC, and then turn to low heat for 4 hours. Ordinary pot should be boiled over high fire and then turned to low heat for 6-7 hours. Don't be stingy with the cooking time, cook the zongzi thoroughly, so that there will be no hardness that will affect the taste.
