Who designed the ancient dragon chair and what was the purpose of carving patterns?

The Dragon Chair is a chair in the Hall of Supreme Harmony (commonly known as the Golden Hall) of the Forbidden City. It's called the painted golden carved dragon wooden chair, which represents the autocratic rule of feudal emperors. The dragon chair we see now was designed by Zhu Yuanzhang when he ascended the throne in the Ming Dynasty. The dragon chair means "first place", and "sitting on the dragon chair" means being an emperor. The dragon chair is beautifully designed, carved with a mighty dragon and decorated with gold lacquer, which shows the majesty and noble status of the emperor.

According to legend, Wei Zhi once asked Emperor Taizong: Do you know why you became emperor? Wei Zhi disagreed with many of the results that Emperor Taizong said, so Emperor Taizong asked Wei Zhi, "Why do you say that?" ? Wei Zhi said that because you are sitting in this dragon chair. In fact, many people don't know that the symbol of the dragon chair in the ancient imperial power of China is equivalent to the imperial seal, which shows how important the energy and significance contained in this chair are.

In ancient times, dragon meant imperial power and dignity. Dragon is a miraculous animal in ancient myths and legends in East Asia, such as China, and the leader of scale insects. Often used as a symbol of good luck, it is one of the most representative traditional cultures of East Asian nations such as Han nationality, and the legend of dragon is very rich. The most basic feature of the dragon image is "nine similarities", and these nine animals are still controversial. Legend has it that it can be hidden, detailed and huge, short and long.

In ancient times, only royalty could use dragon clothing or accessories. Thirteen dragons were carved on the dragon chair, or thirteen different dragons to be exact, representing different meanings such as imperial power, ninth five-year plan+sun, moon and stars, and also representing majestic power. It is not the king who is not qualified to sit in this chair.
