The Traditional Culture of Dongshan Township
Yi people are the main ethnic group living in Dongshan, with their own language and no writing, and mainly study Chinese. The branch of "Aza" is the first branch of the Yi people, and "Aza" is claiming to be one of their own. It was first seen in inscriptions and official documents from Kangxi to Jiaqing in Qing Dynasty, and was called "Aza", but it was named "Heipula" or "A Cheng" from the time when Qianlong compiled local records. Because the living environment is mountainous, it mainly grows dry land, mainly produces corn, wheat, beans and a small amount of paddy fields, and the staple food is not much, mainly corn, so life is rather monotonous. Most farmers usually eat two meals a day, and a few farmers eat three meals a day. The method is to grind corn into flour and add water to cook it. This method has been used up to now, and the rest methods are few.
