What is the symbol of the modern German army?
Emblem of the Bundeswehr Today's Bundeswehr (1955-) no longer uses the Bundeswehr (191935) and the Bundeswehr (1935- 1945). The tradition that soldiers absolutely obey their superiors is a part of Prussian spirit, but it was denied because of the "crime against humanity" set after World War II. Only the Iron Cross, regarded as the honor symbol of German soldiers, remained and became the symbol of the Bundeswehr.
