Soap making

The preparation method and formula of soap are as follows:

Distilled water 12 ounce, a can of vegetable shortening, 6 ounces of lye, and an 8 × 8 inch container.

Step 1: Pour ghee into the enamel pot and melt it on the stove. Add hot lye to another enamel pot.

Step 2: Pour the cold distilled water into the glass bowl, and then slowly pour the lye into the water. Stir with a wooden spoon until the mixture becomes clear.

Step 3: Pour the shortening into another glass bowl, and then add the mixture of lye and distilled water. Pour in slowly and stir constantly. Make sure that the heat of the two liquids can be touched by hand.

Step 4: When the above solution becomes sticky, different additives, spices, oils or herbs can be added and then mixed evenly.

Step 5: The next step is to pour the solution into a container, and then put the mold in a warm and insulated place for more than 24 hours.

Step 6: Cut the soap into small pieces and store it in a dry place to dry. You can use them in three weeks. After learning to make lye soap, you can try to make home soap.

Method for making self-made natural soap

Step 1: Mix rosemary and lavender leaves and grind them into powder with a food processor.

Step 2: Boil the water, pour it into a glass bowl, and then add 6 tablespoons of the above powder.

Step 3: After 10 minutes, add rosemary and lavender essential oils into the bowl.

Step 4: put the glycerin soap base into the pot to melt, mix the above solutions and stir them until they are uniform.

Step 5: Pour the mixture into the mold and leave it for at least one month.

Step 6: After one month, take the soap out of the mold. Soap can be wrapped in plastic film and yellow paper for storage.
