Author Biography of Chinese Literary Lineage

Yu Qiuyu, born in 1946, is a native of Zhejiang. As early as in the mid-1980s, he became the youngest president of a university in mainland China through many public opinion polls in the education and cultural circles and the selection of experts, and was the head of the evaluation group for professors of Chinese language in Shanghai, as well as the head of the evaluation group for professors of art. He was awarded the honorary titles of "National Expert with Outstanding Contributions", "Shanghai Top Ten Higher Education Elites", and "China's Most Respectable Cultural Figures".

More than twenty years ago, he resigned from all administrative positions and high appointments in order to investigate and explain many important buried sites of Chinese civilization alone. As a result, these sites have been protected and promoted, and he has been recognized as a major representative of the reorganization of traditional culture in contemporary China. His works have created a generation of "cultural prose" and have attracted many admirers.

At the end of the twentieth century, he also risked his life to travel tens of thousands of kilometers to visit the most important civilization of mankind, and made a series of brand new thoughts and urgent reminders to the contemporary world civilization. As the only professor of humanities in the international community to have personally completed such a journey, he was able to determine in time where a new round of terrorism would take place, and accurately predicted the economic crisis in different European countries, which attracted great attention both at home and abroad. The books written in this process have long been at the top of the global Chinese book list. In Taiwan alone, they have included a series of major awards such as the Platinum Writer's Award, the Laureate Literary Award, the Readers' Best Book Award, and the Jinshidang Most Influential Book Award.

With its high-level thought-provoking works, the book has continued to create an amazing best-selling miracle for twenty years. In January 2010, Yangzi Evening News, the largest circulation newspaper in China, and Jiangsu Education Publishing House voted among young students in all provinces of the country "who is your favorite contemporary writer", and still ranked first, and far ahead.

UNESCO, Peking University, and China Talent Magazine have repeatedly presented him with awards, recognizing him for "combining in-depth research, in-person study, and effective dissemination into one," and for being a "contemporary master who has achieved a high level of literary excellence, scholarship, philosophical thinking, and presentation. "

Since 2002, he has traveled to the United States to give lectures at Harvard University, Yale University, Columbia University, New York University, and the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. to teach topics such as "The History of Chinese Macro-Culture" and "The History of Comparison of Chinese and Foreign Cultures", which have been widely acclaimed. In 2008, the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission authorized the establishment of the Yu Qiuyu Master's Studio. In recent years, he has also served as Founding Professor of Humanities at Hong Kong Baptist University, Chief Cultural Advisor of Phoenix Satellite Television in Hong Kong, and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Arts at the Macau University of Science and Technology.
