What is the difference between e-commerce distribution process and traditional logistics distribution process?
In the traditional mode, goods are distributed from manufacturers to wholesalers or retailers, and then distributed by retailers to end buyers. In the process of distribution, goods are rarely distributed in pieces, and most of them are distributed in whole boxes.
In e-commerce mode, orders from end customers are scattered, and one order may involve multiple commodities, but the quantity is small, so warehouses or logistics centers need a lot of sorting.
This is the biggest difference between the two logistics modes. In addition, compared with the traditional mode, in the e-commerce mode, the goods on the front-end sales platform (website) can be greatly expanded, and the categories can be increased, while the back-end warehouse needs to set up a reasonable inventory of all kinds of goods.
