How many kinds of electroplating are there?

Electroplating is divided into hanging plating, barrel plating, continuous plating and brush plating, which is mainly related to the size and batch of the plated parts.

Hanging plating is suitable for general-sized products, such as car bumpers and bicycle handlebars.

Roller plating is suitable for small parts, fasteners, washers, pins, etc.

Continuous electroplating is suitable for large-scale production of wire and strip.

Brush plating is suitable for local electroplating or repair.

The electroplating solution includes acidic, alkaline, acidic and neutral chromium-containing mixed solutions. No matter what electroplating method is used, electroplating bath, hanger, etc. Contact with the product to be plated and the plating solution should be universal to some extent.

Extended data:

Typical technology

Cyanide-free alkaline bright copper

Pre-plating and thickening are completed on copper alloy in one step, and the thickness of the coating can reach more than 10μm, which is as bright as acidic bright copper coating. If blackening treatment is carried out, the dark effect can be achieved, and it has been running normally in the tank of 10000 liters for two years.

It can completely replace the traditional cyanide copper plating process and bright copper plating process, and is suitable for any metal substrate: pure copper, copper alloy, iron, stainless steel, zinc alloy die castings, aluminum alloy workpieces and other substrates, and can be hung or barrel plated.

Cyanide-free bright silver plating

The common type takes thiosulfate as the main complexing agent, and the advanced type takes sulfur-free organic matter as the main complexing agent. The thickness of all-bright coating can reach more than 40μm, the surface resistance of the coating is ~ 4 1μω㎝, the hardness is ~ ~HV 10 1.4+0.4, and the thermal shock is 298K(25℃), which is very close to the performance of cyanide silver plating.

Cyanide-free gold plating

The main salt of cyanide-free autocatalytic electroless gold plating is Na3[Au(SO3)2], and the thickness of the gold layer can reach 65438 0.5μ m, which has been used for gold plating of high-density flexible circuit boards and electronic ceramics.

Formaldehyde-free copper plating

Formaldehyde-free autocatalytic electroless copper plating is used for through-hole electroplating and non-conductor surface metallization of circuit boards. There is no commercial product at home and abroad to replace toxic formaldehyde with cheap and nontoxic hypophosphite. The laboratory research has been basically completed, the deposition rate is 3~4μm/h, the service life exceeds 10 cycle (MTO), and the coating is compact and bright. But it needs to be further improved and piloted.
