How is the roof waterproof?

How to waterproof the roof? Step 1: General roof construction process.

Acceptance leveling layer → cleaning the base → preparing cement glue → making additional layer → base construction → protective layer → maintenance. Before the coiled material is laid and bonded, the roofing waterproof coiled material shall be pre-laid and aligned, then the two ends of the roofing waterproof coiled material shall be folded in half and rolled up, the prepared cement glue shall be poured into the base, leveled with a scraper, and then the roofing waterproof coiled material shall be pushed forward, and the residual air inside the roofing waterproof coiled material shall be eliminated with a scraper in time, and the excess glue shall be scraped off. The bonding rate between roofing waterproofing membrane and leveling layer is 85% or higher.

How to waterproof the roof? Step 2: Joints between coils.

(1) Construction of roof waterproof joint: the moisture-proof layer, waterproof layer and additional layer are all overlapped and bonded with cement glue, with a width of 10cm. Additional seam and waterproof seam staggered more than 5cm.

(2) The lap width of roofing waterproofing membrane is 8- 10cm on the long side and 10- 15cm on the short side. Joints of adjacent short sides should be staggered by more than 100cm, and the included angle between the wall and the ground should be more than 30cm.

How is the roof waterproof? Step 3: Waterproof protective layer

After the coil is laid, a 2cm thick 1: 2.5 cement mortar protective layer shall be applied on the waterproof layer, and plastering shall be done twice. The second layer of summer-planting must be staggered more than 20cm, and the protective layer should be leveled and watered for maintenance.

Precautions for roof waterproofing

1. It is forbidden to construct under 5℃ or when it rains;

2. If the construction is carried out in a particularly humid and ventilated environment, ventilation equipment should be adopted to speed up the film formation of waterproof coating, so as not to affect the quality of waterproof layer;

3. Never mix dry mortar with water before using it;

4. Nodes shall be treated according to relevant specifications, and it is suggested to add a layer of glass fiber net;

5. Don't wear high-heeled shoes or spikes within 24 hours after coating, and prohibit people from walking and entering the waterproof layer area;

6. Before the completed waterproof layer is provided with a protective layer, it is not allowed to construct or pile angular heavy objects on the waterproof layer, such as iron, steel nails, steel bars and scaffolding, so as not to damage the waterproof layer;

7. After the waterproof layer is completely dried, other covering layers can be made;

8. Take protective measures such as wearing gloves.
