How to choose a rod for stream fishing?

China is not very suitable for stream fishing...

Stream fishing usually refers to fishing in freshwater streams. Most of them are baited with meat food such as insects and floated with a soft rod. This type of fishing often has the dual pleasure of hiking and fishing.

The following is a description of the ten elements of the stream fishing to pay attention to:

One, rod The first choice is the stream-specific rod. The so-called stream-specific rod is ハエ in Japanese. This kind of fishing rod, domestic manufacturers rarely produce, usually three-seven, four-six and five-five tuning. The rods are very light, with a weight of 50 to 65 grams for a 4.5 meter rod. This is so that you will not feel tired even if you swing it all day long. Carp rods can be used, but not as good as the feeling of stream fishing rods on the fish.

Second, hooks The fine hooks are good, 1 to 3 can be used. It is best to have no barbs, which not only does not hurt the fish, but also improves the speed of picking fish. You can also use sleeve hooks, which have a higher fish run rate.

Third, line Use high-quality transparent line. The main line should not be more than 0.6, the brain line should not be more than 0.4. The main line is the same length as the rod or a little longer, and the length of the brain line is about 10 to 15 centimeters. In this way, while ensuring the sensitivity, you can increase the range of the brain line swinging in the water, so as to produce the effect of fish attraction. If the water is shallow, you can shorten the brain line appropriately.

Fourth, the drift In the stream fishing, with a lot of choices of drift, short vertical drift response than centipede drift and other lying sensitive. According to the different flow rate and water surface conditions, the appropriate choice of float. If the current is fast, it is best to use a stream fishing float with a round body.

V. Fell You can use No. 8 biting lead (which is a very small lead pellet, not many sales in the market), or you can use a fuse instead. Depending on the rapidity of the current, the weight of the pendant is appropriately increased or decreased. At the end of the main line, you can use a very fine fuse for fine-tuning.

VI. Bait Mix and stir with one raw egg yolk and the Quick Shot bait made by Old Ghost. After mixing well, dip some with your index finger and thumb until you can pull it apart to two centimeters before separating it can be loaded into a bait gun and used. If you don't have a bait gun, you can use a syringe instead. You can also use peanut powder instead of bait.

VII. Fish protection In order to accelerate the speed of picking fish, it is best to use a special stream fishing protection.

VIII, fishing group The main line and the brain line with the school rubber O-ring connection, which can produce resistance, increase the hook bait in the water swing, improve the simulation effect. Drift seat can be used Taiwan fishing drift seat, plus space beans fixed, you can also use the stream special drift seat.

IX. Fishing method Casting to the upper reaches of the stream. When the fishing group into the water, gently pull the fishing rod, drive the fishing line, so that the bait to increase the swing, to promote the effect of fish. The main point: after the fishing group into the water, the float downstream drift, drift to two meters, regardless of whether the fish, should be up, and then re-bait casting. At first, you may not hit the fish for two to three times, but once you start to hit the fish, you will usually hit the fish when you cast the rod into the water and the fishing group drifts to 1 to 1.5 meters. Some of the stream fishing experts, can be within 1 meter of the range of fish, which is inseparable from the rod tugging technique.

X. Fishing spots Choose in the rapid rase, shallow horizontal rase is more effective; deep water does not rase the catch is also a lot of fish, but the fish is very small.

Then, we will analyze in detail the use of fishing techniques in different water conditions:

I. Water conditions

The water conditions of streams (river) beaches are very complicated due to the diversified forms of the riverbed and the rocks in the forest. Therefore, the water can be divided into: mainstream, backwater; rapids, slow water; flower water, flat water. Flower water can be divided into: deep flower water, shallow flower water; rapid flower water, slow flower water; bubble flower water, diffuse flower water and so on. Generally speaking, stream fishing should choose the place where there is flower water on the beach, because the flower water is due to the bottom of the beach has different sizes and shapes of the formation of stones, and attached to aquatic insects; and the water flower and make the visibility of the water underwater, which is conducive to the fish hiding, foraging.

Additionally, a beach, no matter how long or short, wide or narrow, is roughly divided into a beach brain, beach head, beach waist and beach tail 4 kinds of position. In general, the head of the beach is a flat water or shallow flower water; the head of the beach is a fast flow or fast flower water; the tail of the beach is a shallow flower water; the waist of the beach is the most complicated water, but also is the most important location for fishing.

As for the water condition, it refers to the visibility of the water. The most important thing to remember is that you can't be sure that you're going to be able to see what's going on in the water. The most suitable for stream fishing is the clear water, the moon white water is second; muddy water and hemp muddy water is not suitable for fishing, only suitable for sitting fishing.

2. Fishing Techniques and Applications

1. Spread the bait to the front of the water above, arm up, pole tip up, float suspended, bait rubbing the bottom of the beach, pole tip with the float to move downstream. When the bait into the water, the float suspended after the observation of fish news (fish grabbing food, the float has a pause and tugging phenomenon. However, it should be noted that there are occasional cases where the bait is snatched by the fish just before it enters the water).

Suspension fishing is the most basic and commonly used technique in stream fishing. It is applicable to all water conditions except deeper and shallower splash waters. It has the widest range of applicability.

2. Drift fishing. This is a kind of fishing technique relative to the suspending sub fishing, the way of spreading bait is the same as the suspending sub fishing. After the bait is in the water, let the float float on the surface of the water, and then observe the fish news of the float (its performance is similar to that of the suspension fishing).

The optimal length of the float for stream fishing is usually about 1 meter from the hook, and it is fixed with a fingertip-sized piece of foam, so it is inconvenient and unnecessary to adjust the length of the float, which is suspended or floated depending on the depth of the water. Therefore, this technique is only applicable to the deeper flower water. However, if you find that the fish are moving in the middle and upper layers of the water, you can also change to suspending the bait or other fishing techniques, so that the bait is drifting in the middle and upper layers of the water.

3. Jumping Fishing. The way of spreading the bait and holding the rod is the same as that of the trolling. When the bait into the water, to wrist rhythmically pull the rod tip, thus driving the float on the surface of the water jumping and jumping, very similar to the flying insects into the water. And the float and drive the bait in the underwater fluttering, to attract the fish to grab food. If you find that the fish mistakenly snatch the float, then quickly lift the float out of the water and continue to pull the rod tip, the fish will turn to snatch the bait and hooked. The first thing you need to do is to feel the fish in your hand (there is a strong tugging sensation when the fish is hooked).

This technique is often used in a wide range of water conditions. The most suitable water for this technique is the water that has been soaked in flowers and the water that has been used for diffusion. It is especially important to note that it is difficult to catch fish in flat water, but if it is early in the morning or rainy weather, the fish like to move in the flat water in the area of the beach brain, foraging, as long as you lower your body position, approaching from the upper reaches of the hidden and then use this technique (or use the introduction of tugging or dragging), will be able to get a miraculous effect.

4. Lift and pull fishing. The first thing you need to do is to get your hands on a bait and hold it in the same way as you would with a troll. When the bait into the water, the use of rod tip elasticity, to wrist gently and rhythmically lift the fishing line, depending on the depth of the water so that the float suspended or floating in the water surface back and forth sliding, so as to drive the bait in the submerged movement, in order to attract the attention of the fish. These are somewhat similar to the hopper fishing, the difference is that the pulling rod tip strength is a little smaller. The only difference is that the tip of the rod is tugged less hard.

This technique is more commonly used and is applicable to a wide range of water conditions. In particular, when the water is particularly complex, waves, seriously affecting the recognition of the float of the fish signal; secondly, when the sky is dark, seriously affecting the fish on the bait and the angler's visibility of the float, this fishing technique has a unique effect.

5. Trolling. The bait will be spread to the downstream, the rod and the water parallel to the hold, to take a front and back rhythmic drag approach, so that the float and bait at the same time in the water surface rhythmically generate splash, to attract fish grab food. If you find that the fish mistakenly snatch food floats, the speed will float away from the surface of the water to continue dragging, the fish will snatch food bait and hooked. The first thing you need to do is to get your hands on the bait, and you'll be able to feel it.

This technique is more commonly used, but not often used alone, often combined with the first four techniques: when the bait is in the upper reaches of the river, use one of the four techniques; when the bait flows downstream, then switch to this technique. The most suitable water for this technique is deep and shallow flower water as well as bubbling and diffuse flower water. Especially at dusk, when the visibility is low, the fish like to gather in the shallow flower water at the end of the beach, and leap to the surface of the water to snatch the insects that fall into the water, this technique is the most effective.

It is worthwhile to note that the three techniques of jigging, trolling and dragging are often more effective than the other techniques in catching the larger fish, such as peach blossom and horse chestnut. This is because these two types of fish are very aggressive and like to chase small fish and shrimp and snatch insects that fall to the surface. When a larger fish is hooked, it will produce a violent tugging sensation. At this point, the feeling of fighting with big fish in the turbulence will be more than enjoyable!

6. Drift bait fishing. The bait will be spread downstream, holding the rod in the same way as the hanging son fishing. The float does not enter the water, let the bait in the water surface drifting, (can also be at the same time slightly tugging the rod tip). The first thing you need to do is to get your hands on the bait and let it drift.

This technique is suitable for both deep and shallow floral waters where there are many fish moving on the surface. It is not often used exclusively, and is often combined with other fishing techniques.

7. Fly fishing. First of all, the bait will be scattered to the far end of the ideal position, disguised as a flying insect into the water, a little pause, to observe whether there are fish grabbing food. If there is no movement, the float with the bait on the surface of the water at a speed of not fast and not slow to drag back, so that it produces a splash, and then by hand to sense whether the fish grabbed food. To be dragged back to a distance without fish news, and then the bait will be lifted out of the water after casting forward again, and so on repeatedly. If you cast a few rods without fish hooked and then move.

This technique is suitable for sunny, shallow, slow-flowing water that is not easily accessible to fish or shallow, flat water that has very little splash. You should lower your stance, approach the target stealthily, and try to cast the bait accurately. It is not often used.

Lastly, it is important to remind that all the mainstream deep flower water and the side stream shallow flower water and meet the water, is the best water stream fishing. This is because fish like to gather in the shallow flower water activities for food, if the slightest wind, that immediately close to the deep flower water to hide, to be calm and then into the shallow flower water. When you come across such a position, you must not let it go easily. At this time, you should stand in the mainstream deep flower water side (do not stand shallow flower water, easy to scare the fish), put the bait into the shallow flower water, the use of suspension fishing combined with pull fishing or trolling fishing. If the fish in the shallow water when the fish will be scared away, the bait will be cast in the two streams of the intersection of the shallow flower water, patiently using the pull fishing or trolling, so that will be able to continue to fish.
