The Mirror's Flower Fate is a famous legendary novel of the Qing Dynasty. It describes the story of Tang Ao, an unpopular scholar, who traveled with his great-uncle Lin Zhiyang's merchant ship to overseas fantasy countries, from the philosophical Wuji country, the black-toothed country, and the white country to the imaginative and interesting Nie'er country, and the winged country; all these strange and ridiculous stories are found in this misty mirror flower and watery moon.

"Fengshen Yanyi: The Battle of Gods and Demons - Collected Literature"

Editor's Recommendation

"When the country is about to fall, there will be demons. " The legendary "Feudal Deities Acts" has a sky-high fantasy. King Zhou who likes women, the terrible cannon branding, Nezha appeared in the lotus body ...... Each article, the storyline is fascinating, very exciting, the author gives you the biggest reading surprise!

Executive Summary

Feudal Yanyi (封神演义) is a long novel of gods and demons in the Ming Dynasty. It was written during the Longqing and Wanli periods, a little later than Journey to the West, and it is generally believed that the creation of this book was obviously greatly influenced by Journey to the West, and the author of the book has been described as "Xu Zhonglin" and "Lu Xixing", but there is no conclusive evidence of this.

What is this 100-episode novel about? Literary master Lu Xun said very eloquently, it is "through the dispute between the Shang and Zhou, write their own fantasy". It is generally believed that the author based his work on the historical events of the Shang-Zhou dispute, or even the Song-Yuan historical novel "King Wu's Expedition to Zhou", and then absorbed a lot of folklore and added his own fictional interpretation of the work.

Despite the fact that the general opinion is that the ideological and artistic achievements of Feudal Reign of the Gods are far inferior to those of The Journey to the West, there are a number of fantastical and readable chapters in Feudal Reign of the Gods, and the story of Nezha, commonly referred to as Nezha Haunted by the Sea, can be considered to be the best part of the whole book and should not be overlooked.

Additionally, the stories of Lei Zhen Zi, Jiang Zi Ya, and so on are also very interesting.

The Tale of the Opera: Life is Like an Opera- -Canonical Literature"

Editor's Recommendation

Since the Yuan Dynasty, when scripts of dramas began to be published, dramatic literature has been shining brightly in the field of Chinese literature. Dramatic literature can be said to be a rare flower in the world of classical Chinese literature and art that cannot be ignored.

This book is a selection of the most representative stories from Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera, and Huangmei Opera, including ten popular operas such as Dou'e Grievance, Zhao's Orphan, and The Story of the Western Chamber. The author uses a fluent writing style and excellent storytelling skills to write down the touching, sorrowful and joyful encounters of life.

Executive Summary

Dramatic literature has been shining brightly in the field of Chinese literature since the Yuan Dynasty, when dramatic scripts began to be published. Dramatic literature can be said to be a rare flower in the world of classical Chinese literature and art that cannot be ignored.

In this book, we have selected ten representative stories from Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera, Huangmei Opera, etc. There are tragedies as well as comedies, except that the so-called comedies are not the same as the ridiculous and funny ways of modern dramas, and that the tragedies are not all despairing and sad, but also contain hope. This is obviously due to the influence of long-standing Confucianism, which believes in the interplay of good and bad, and the middle way, so comedy and tragedy are not so sharply separated.

"Dream of the Red Mansions: A Tragedy of Immortal Love - Collected Literature"

Editor's Pick

Meng of the Red Chamber is the finest work in the history of classical Chinese novels. Cao Xueqin used his own life experience as the material to create this widely circulated and popular masterpiece. For more than two hundred years, the emotional entanglements between Jia Baoyu, Lin Daiyu and Xue Baochai have been a household name. This book focuses on the love story of Lin Daiyu and Jia Baoyu. The author's delicate tone, in-depth portrayal of exquisite characters, writing feudal society, the sadness of the marriage can not be autonomous, the human feelings to the nature of the depiction of the best, worthy of readers to read.

Executive Summary

This book presents, mainly, the love story of Lin Daiyu and Jia Baoyu; it is a monumental love tragedy.

It would of course be a mistake to think that Dream of the Red Chamber is 'just' the story of Lin Daiyu and Jia Baoyu, but I believe that no one will deny that the story of the two of them is indeed an extremely important part of Dream of the Red Chamber, and can even be regarded as the backbone of the whole book.

The content of Meng of the Red Chamber is too rich, including architecture and garden art, clothing, utensils, food, medicine, music, art, opera, philosophy and religion, etiquette and customs of the year, etc., which are not only touched upon in the book, but also described in a clear and detailed manner.

As for the characters, the author Cao Xueqin wrote more than 400 characters in Dream of Red Mansions (equal to the number of characters created in all of Shakespeare's plays combined!) Among them, there are at least dozens of characters like Lin Daiyu and Jia Baoyu, who are very distinctive and vivid in both image and personality, according to conservative estimates! The grandeur of Meng of the Red Chamber is thus evident.

The author Cao Xueqin, the name of the dip, the word Meng Ruan, the number of celery stream, celery garden, Xueqin. His life is extraordinary, born in the prestigious noble family, his great-grandfather, grandfather, father, three generations of the Qing Court of the Ministry of the Interior, hereditary Jiangning Weavers up to sixty years. At the time of the Yongzheng Dynasty, his father's generation was unfortunately dismissed from his post and copied his family, and the Qianlong Dynasty suffered a huge change, so the Cao family went into complete decline. Because Cao Xueqin personally experienced the vicissitudes of a declining aristocratic family, he was able to present all aspects of the feudal system in the old society in such a delicate and evocative manner.

What Cao Xueqin is trying to write is a great tragedy of an enviable big family, which was originally prosperous and rich, but later on, because of the crime of the family members and even the copying of the family, the family gradually went into decline, and finally the prosperity became empty; this great tragedy is composed by the tragedies of many important characters, and the love tragedy of Lin Daiyu and Jia Baoyu is only one of them, but as mentioned earlier, the tragedy of them is the most important tragedy in the Dream of Red Mansions. is extremely important in The Dream of the Red Chamber.

So, presenting the story of Lin Daiyu and Jia Baoyu as the main force seems to 'narrow' the Dream of Red Mansions, but it should be able to convey the main spirit of the Dream of Red Mansions moderately as well.

The tragedy of the two of them begins with the fact that in feudal society, marriage was always decided by parents, and children themselves were not qualified to decide. Jia Baoyu's father ordered him to marry Xue Baochai, so he had to marry her, even though he actually liked Lin Daiyu in his heart. The lack of autonomy in marriage ultimately led to the tragedy of Lin Daiyu, Jia Baoyu and Xue Baochai; and this tragedy of love and the decline of the Jia House from strength to strength also complemented each other.

The Dream of the Red Chamber was first circulated in the mid-eighteenth century, and soon became popular throughout the country. Despite the book's criticism of the feudal system, it was still widely circulated among the feudal lords of the time, and there was even a proverb that said, "If you don't talk about A Dream of Red Mansions, you can't read poetry and books in vain.

The value and significance of Meng of the Red Chamber is manifold:

It is the best work of classical Chinese novels.

It is the first time in the history of classical Chinese long novels that "the author creates his work on the basis of the materials of life, especially on the basis of his own real experiences and real feelings." Many scholars have argued that because of this, Meng of the Red Chamber can be said to have entered the realm of the modern novel as well.

It is because Dream of the Red Chamber is so rich and so profound that the study of Dream of the Red Chamber has become a discipline. However, one thing that should be emphasized is that the authors of the Dream of Red Mansions that we see now are actually more than just Cao Xueqin, and there is another very important author, that is, Gao Osprey, who is slightly later than Cao Xueqin.

When Cao Xueqin first started working on A Dream of Red Mansions, he was very young, less than twenty years old. It took him ten years and five additions, deletions and revisions, but at the time of his death, Dream of Red Mansions was actually only eighty pages long, and had become a remnant of a manuscript. It was not until less than thirty years after Cao Xueqin's death that Gao Osprey and others organized, supplemented, and printed the last forty books by unknown authors, which became the 120th book.

The tragic story of Lin Daiyu and Jia Baoyu, which follows the clues of the first eighty novels, is generally considered to be quite consistent with the part created by Cao Xueqin.

Executive Summary

The Romance of the Three Kingdoms is the first full-length novel in ancient China, and the pinnacle of ancient Chinese historical novels; among all historical novels, whether in terms of the influence of the great or wide circulation, the Romance of the Three Kingdoms has an unparalleled status, and even to this day, many companies in the training of executives will list this book as the

The book is one of the "must-read" books in the training of executives in many companies today.

"Romance of the Three Kingdoms" was written during the key period of the Song and Yuan dynasties, which were full of conflicts between ethnic groups and classes. Therefore, Liu Bei, who was under the banner of "reviving the Han family", symbolized the Han regime, and Cao Wei, who was entrenched in the north, symbolized the "usurper of the orthodox regime"; "Respecting the Han family" symbolized the Han regime, and Cao Wei symbolized the Han regime. "; "respect for Liu and Cao" has become the main center of the "Romance of the Three Kingdoms".

The author of this book is Luo Guanzhong, a novelist of the late Yuan and early Ming dynasties, "Guanzhong" is his word, his real name is Luo Ben, alias "Lake and Sea Scatterer", the specific dates of birth and death are not known, and it is generally believed that he lived around 1330-1400. Luo Guanzhong's creation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms was based on the basic history of the Three Kingdoms, but also on literary imagination, and on a large number of folklore to engage in re-creation. Interestingly, none of the best and most popular parts of the book are authentic history, but are all fictional.

Along with the dramatic style of historical novels, the vivid and successful characterization is one of the major features of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. Among them, Cao Cao (the most extraordinary man in the world of treachery), Zhuge Liang (the most extraordinary man in the world of sagacity), and Guan Yu (the most extraordinary man in the world of generals) were even recognized as the "Three Greats" by Mao Zonggang, a scholar of the early Qing Dynasty. Others, such as Zhang Fei's bravery and recklessness, Zhao Zilong's courage, Zhou Yu's narrow-mindedness, Lu Bu's forgetfulness of righteousness, and Lu Su's simplicity, etc., also jumped off the page, making it unforgettable.

Fables: Wisdom of the Ancients - Collected Literature

Executive Summary

This book contains 63 famous and profound fables in China. It dilutes the dense texture of human nature with a kind of super-temporal charm of words. "The north wind and the sun argued about who was really more capable?" -- This is how the story begins.

Reading classic fables allows us to discover the brilliant light of the living world as mapped by the immortal wisdom of the ancients.

Additionally, this book presents these classic fables in their original spirit, without the addition of certain modern interpretations or criticisms. For example, the story of "The Foolish Old Man Who Moved the Mountain" focuses on a kind of persistence and sincerity in doing things, and criticizing the Foolish Old Man for wanting to move the mountain is a kind of "destroying the nature" and "not having the concept of environmental protection". The first is that it is not necessary to criticize the Yu Gong's attempt to move the mountain as a kind of "destroying nature" and "not having the concept of environmental protection".
