Plants of the genus Coleoptera in the family Coleoptera. There are two kinds of carambola and carambola. Cultivated as a fruit tree in this genus. Carambola originated in tropical areas of Southeast Asia, mainly distributed in some countries in Southeast Asia and Guangdong, Guangxi, Fujian, Taiwan Province and Hainan provinces (regions) in China. In China, it is cultivated in counties in south-central Guangdong and suburbs of Guangzhou, Guiping and Pingnan counties in Guangxi, Zhangzhou, Xiao Yun and Quanzhou in Fujian. Multi-leaf carambola, a pure tropical species, is native to Malaysia and cultivated in Taiwan Province Province. Its fruit is extremely sour and can be used as a processing condiment. Carambola was recorded in the Eastern Han Dynasty in China, with a cultivation history of more than 2000 years. However, there are not many varieties, the good and the bad are mixed, and there is a lack of commercial varieties; Extensive cultivation and management, the yield and quality have decreased significantly in recent years.
