Introduction to 0

When it comes to culture, people naturally think of literature, art and philosophy. However, the emergence and development of culture are inevitably influenced by the natural environment, including geography, climate, ecological resources and many other factors, among which bamboo is the most far-reaching plant resource for China culture [1]. "Eating without meat is better than living without bamboo." Let us know the inextricable relationship between "living" and "bamboo". The use of bamboo in home can be traced back to the farming era, and China had bamboo furniture in the pre-Qin period. This philosophy of life full of oriental sentiment is also the spiritual pursuit of generations of China literati, who endowed bamboo with ten virtues: integrity, hard work, modesty, simplicity, dedication, Excellence, sociability, firmness, integrity and responsibility [2]. Bamboo can often be seen on many occasions to create an atmosphere. This is because bamboo has a special meaning for China people, and it is an oriental aesthetic that westerners can't understand, which shows the unshakable historical position of bamboo culture in China.

China is the country with the richest bamboo resources. There are more than 1200 kinds of bamboo in the world, and China accounts for more than 500 kinds [2]. The environmental protection characteristics of bamboo are worth mentioning. When bamboo carries out photosynthesis, it inhales carbon dioxide, releasing 35% more oxygen than trees, and can combine soil more effectively to avoid soil erosion. Bamboo is also the fastest growing plant in the world, with short growth cycle and strong reproductive ability. It can be finished in 3-4 years, and the height can reach 35-40 meters after complete growth. It is an inexhaustible environmental protection material, which coincides with the concept of sustainable development [3]. Just like the vigorous vitality of bamboo, this material also contains huge development space. Bamboo is beautiful and natural in texture, mild and comfortable to the touch, easy to process and durable. Bamboo fiber has high strength, good elasticity and low density. Its tensile strength is 3-4 times that of steel and its compressive strength is higher than that of concrete.

Bamboo contains special humanistic value and environmental protection value, which makes designers at home and abroad pay attention to the application of bamboo in design and set off a brand-new bamboo revolution. With the development of the times, modern home is not only about "function", but also the new requirements in the new environment, such as elegant appearance, fashionable design, firmness and durability, will inevitably make us put forward higher requirements for bamboo. This requires adapting to the natural characteristics of bamboo, combining new materials and techniques, surpassing the traditional positioning of bamboo, perfecting and expanding its functions, and making it more in line with the needs of modern people's lives.

1 market research

By consulting the information of bamboo characteristics, market application status and field investigation, as well as the questionnaire survey of 142 consumers, we have reached the following conclusions about the innovative design of bamboo furniture:

(1) The main types of bamboo furniture in the market are original bamboo, integrated bamboo, recombined bamboo and bent glued bamboo furniture. However, the overall market share of bamboo furniture is still not high, most of them are mixed with other materials, and bamboo is mostly a supporting role, which shows that there is still a lot of room for development.

(2) Round bamboo, bamboo weaving, bamboo integration and recombination bamboo &; The processing technology of hellip& amphellip bamboo is constantly innovating and developing, but now the general bamboo processing often imitates the material characteristics and processing technology of wood, and does not make good use of the unique quality of bamboo.

(3) Bamboo furniture has been used for a long time in ancient China. The bamboo used in these original bamboo furniture has not undergone any modern anti-corrosion treatment, and it is easy to be eaten by insects, cracked or even rotted. The appearance of bamboo furniture in recent years has solved many problems of the original bamboo furniture. However, due to the prejudice against traditional bamboo furniture, the excellent characteristics of new bamboo furniture have not been recognized by consumers.

2 "Bamboo Furniture" Design Features

2. 1 design concept

Bamboo, because of its indomitable character, was named a gentleman by ancient scholars. Mr. Dongpo said: "Eating without meat is better than living without bamboo". However, due to the development of the city, all kinds of cold things, such as reinforced concrete and artificial boards, are flooding our lives. In order to get rid of this situation, we chose bamboo as the material and designed such a set of furniture in combination with the unique culture of bamboo. From living without bamboo to living with bamboo, I want to add not only bamboo, but also some green, some fresh, some natural and some cultural atmosphere. Moreover, bamboo is not only cheap, but also green and nontoxic.

2.2 Design modeling

Bending according to the excellent toughness of bamboo, incorporating the indomitable cultural point of bamboo, as shown in Figure 2.

The arrangement of bamboo gives people a sense of patchwork, which makes the visual sense no longer single. Moreover, the whole original bamboo is used, which retains the characteristics of bamboo's bamboo joints and hollowness, and integrates two aspects of bamboo culture, namely, humility and high integrity, as shown in Figure 3.

It directly splits the bamboo into pieces, keeping the bamboo joints, which means standing upright, as shown in Figure 4.

2.3 Modeling and ergonomic analysis

This bamboo furniture includes a bookcase and a stool. The materials of furniture are all sliced from the original bamboo and then arranged into noodles, and then the whole bamboo is bent into legs. Completely retains the original flavor of bamboo. Because bamboo has good toughness, the bending process of bamboo is not as complicated as wood, so we add many curves to the design of the whole set of furniture to make the whole set of furniture more curved and look softer and more beautiful.

Before the design, we referred to the ergonomic data for the size of the whole set of furniture, so it conforms to people's usage habits, so that people will not feel uncomfortable when using it because of changing materials. On the contrary, because the man-machine factor is considered in the production, it will make users more comfortable. The fresh smell of bamboo will also make people feel relaxed and happy. The quality of life has been improved to a certain extent.

2.4 Furniture and Bamboo Culture

In China tradition, bamboo symbolizes the elasticity, longevity, happiness and spiritual truth of life. Bamboo is hollow, symbolizing modesty and self-control. Bamboo is characterized by perseverance, lingyun, fearlessness of snow and wind, exposed bamboo joints and high bamboo tips, which is a reflection of Confucianism and Taoism and has profound cultural connotations in China [4]. This set of furniture retains the hollow and slubby characteristics of bamboo, and highlights the tenacity of bamboo through bending. When you see this set of furniture, you can see bamboo intuitively and see the bending, so as to remember the culture of perseverance, integrity and humility that bamboo has brought us. Bamboo furniture not only changes furniture materials, but also gives people a kind of reflection because of the combination of bamboo culture, which makes our hearts less impetuous.

3 Market Scenarios and Product Value

3. 1 market scenario

China is one of the four ancient civilizations in the world and the birthplace of bamboo culture. People plant, use, paint and recite bamboo, which has been with us for thousands of years. China is one of the bamboo producing areas with the largest area, the richest resources and the longest cultivation history in the world. China is short of wood energy, and bamboo is fast-growing wood. As an energy source of furniture materials, it has good development value.

Culturally, bamboo culture has a long history. The ancients used bamboo slips, and literati chanted bamboo to make poems and paintings. The ancients expressed their love for bamboo by saying "I would rather eat without meat than live without bamboo". Bamboo has the reputation of "simple, honest, persistent and handsome". Bamboo furniture that inherits bamboo culture will be more popular and favored when it is put into the market. The inheritance and development of bamboo culture need our joint efforts.

3.2 Product value

From the functional point of view, the product combines traditional culture and modern science and technology as public facilities to meet people's basic needs, and considers human-machine comfort to meet people's physiology and psychology. Mentally speaking, the product has a profound traditional cultural heritage, and absorbs the modern development spirit, inherits development and infects users with culture.

From the perspective of environmental protection, bamboo grows fast and can be used in three to four years. After use and recycling, it is a very environmentally friendly material.

4 conclusion

The market of cultural industry needs to be developed and developed. Products are not only appearance and function, but also cultural connotation. The rich and colorful culture of the Chinese nation is attracting more and more attention. Bamboo furniture with culture as its core is its soul and spiritual connotation, which meets the spiritual needs of the broad masses.
