What are the traditional Japanese costumes?

Kimono species

According to the traditional Japanese kimono, there are many kinds, not only men and women, unmarried and married, but also casual clothes and dresses. Men's kimonos are few in style, monotonous in color, dark in color, thin in belt and convenient to wear. Women's kimonos have various styles, bright colors and wide waist. Different kimono belts have different knots and different hairstyles. Married women wear "cuff" kimono, while unmarried women wear "cuff vibration" kimono. In addition, according to the different purposes of going out, such as visiting, playing and shopping, the patterns, colors and styles of wearing kimonos are also different.

Sleeve kimono

A kind of clothing worn by women when attending relatives' weddings, formal ceremonies, ceremonies, etc., with a black background, it is dyed with five patterns, which are printed on both ends of the hem of the kimono's predecessor to show that married women use a kimono called "black sleeves". In addition, fabrics of other colors with three or one patterns and patterns printed on the hem are called "color sleeves".

Sleeve kimono II

According to the length of sleeves, the first dress of an unmarried lady can be divided into "large vibrating sleeves", "medium vibrating sleeves" and "small vibrating sleeves". Among them, the most worn is the "vibration sleeve". For example: bar mitzvah, graduation ceremony, banquets, parties, visiting friends and other occasions. Because this kimono gives people a sense of fashion, married women are wearing "vibrating sleeves" more and more.

Men's kimono

Men's kimonos formally wear patterned coats and skirts. Except for black, other patterned coats and skirts are just simple gifts, which can be matched with clothes at will.

(Personally, I don't think it's as good as samurai clothes ...)

Plain kimono

This is a monochrome kimono (except black). If it is dyed with patterns, it can be worn as clothes. If there is no pattern, it can be used as a daily fashion dress.

"Pay" kimono

The patterns on sleeves, front and back, and collar are all kimono prints, printed from bottom to top. Lighter and more comfortable than visiting kimonos.

The wearing method of kimono

Practice the basic steps of wearing kimono, and you will dress beautifully. If you ask someone for help, it's easier to put it on than to untie it.

First, preparations: put on foot bags (socks) and underwear (usually white);

Secondly, dress in the following order, and be careful not to fasten your belt too tightly:

1. Put on the kimono, put the sleeve of the undershirt into the kimono sleeve, adjust the back seam of the kimono to the center of the back, and then fix the undershirt with the collar of the kimono with a clip.

2. Lift the collar by hand and adjust the length of the hem to avoid mopping the floor.

3. Open the kimono and put the front collar at the position of the waist bone. The width of the front should be aligned with the edge of the kimono and the side of the body.

4. After determining the width, slowly open the bottom surface, then attach the bottom surface to a certain width, and then raise the lower part of the collar held by the right hand by 10 cm to make the lower cycloid tilt.

5. Then tidy up the front, raise the lower part of the collar held by the left hand by 5cm, and be careful not to put it in the wrong position. Adjust the wrinkles at the waist upwards.

6. Tie the first rope around your waist. The belt is tied back from the front of the body, crossed at the back and tied back to the front.

7. Smooth out the wrinkles at the waist. Put your hand into the seam under the kimono sleeve, check whether the kimono is entangled with the belt and flatten the part left by the length.

8. Similarly, pull the folds on the chest to the armpit, grab the sleeves with both hands, and gently pull out the sleeves to make the shoulders naturally smooth.

9. Check whether the two collars are crossed neatly. If there is any dislocation, put your hand into the slit under the sleeve root to adjust it. The neckline slit should not be too big or too small.

10. Tie the second thread under the chest, and the rest must be pulled neatly, and the overlapping part in front is horizontal.

1 1. Straighten your waist and tie a small belt named "IDA" on your chest. Because the small belt is elastic, be careful not to tie it too tightly.

12. Check whether there are wrinkles on the chest and back again. If there are, flatten the underarms.

After the whole work is finished, check whether there are any mistakes with a big mirror, and then take off the clip on the collar.
