I think the difference between Chinese and European cultures lies in the fact that Chinese culture belongs to imaginative thinking and Western culture belongs to rational thinking. Both of them have a deep history, Chinese traditional culture focuses on the construction of imagination, while western culture focuses on the reproduction of real life. Taking myths and legends as an example, the characters in Chinese myths and legends are all of noble character and seldom involve their private life. In contrast, the characters in Western myths and legends show the selfishness and greed of human nature.
