In the long-term hunting life, Oroqen people are unique and have created the national characteristics of the roe deer clothing culture. Roe deer skin is not only durable and wearable, but also has excellent cold-proof performance. The skin of roe deer in different seasons can be made into different kinds of costumes. For example, the roe deer in the fall and winter seasons, long and dense hair, thick skin, cold resistance, suitable for winter clothing. Summer roe deer fur sparse and short, suitable for spring and summer clothing.

The dress of Oroqen ethnic group is mainly robes, and there are mainly leather coat, leather jacket, leather pants, leather pants, leather boots, leather socks, leather gloves, leather undershirts, and roe deer head leather cap. The most characteristic is the cap of roe deer head and skin, almost inseparable from the body.

This kind of roe deer scalp hat is made of the whole roe deer scalp. The method is as follows: the roe deer scalp peeled off, boiled, embedded in the two holes around the eyes of the black skin, cut off the two ears, with roe deer skin sewed on two false ears, roe deer horns are still retained. This kind of hat is not only warm and cold, or a great camouflage for hunting. It is said that if you don't wear two fake ears, the hunter in the distance will mistake it for a real roe deer and injure it by mistake, reflecting the wisdom of Oroqen villagers.

Robe: Oroqen people called "Suen". Most of them are sewn with the skin of roe deer caught in winter. There are two types of robes: men's and women's. Men's robes are slightly shorter. Men's leather robe is slightly shorter, usually before and after the split to the knee. Women's robes are very long, with left and right seams, and flowers and designs embroidered on the cuffs, hems, and hemlines. Men mostly wear belts, women mostly wear colored cloth belts, and middle-aged and elderly women mostly wear ordinary belts.

Elk Hat: The climate of Daxinganling forest is cold. Oroqen people wear roe deer hat most of the time. This kind of hat is made of a pair of complete roe deer skin. After scalping the roe deer, they are dried in the sun and lined with cloth or leather. The round holes for the eyes are inlaid with black leather and some have two horns. The Oroqen appear to be original in choosing the elk's head as their camouflage leather cap. Scorpions are the prey of the weak among large animals, especially lynxes, wolves, northeastern tigers, Arctic lone beasts, brown bears, golden eagles, and Siberian leopards. The Oroqen place their guns in the bushes with their hoods slightly exposed, as if the roe deer were lying there, tempting the roe deer or other wild animals. When the wild animal appears, they unexpectedly pull the trigger and it all works.

Be: The Oroqen language is called "Ula". In winter, it is mainly made of roe deer skins. One kind is made of several pieces of skin, just like an ordinary quilt. One is cylindrical, suitable for hunting in the mountains and portable against the cold.

The Oroqen are distributed in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Heilongjiang Province. The mysterious Daxinganling is the hometown of Oroqen. Thousands of miles of endless forests have created the brave and tenacious national character of Oroqen, and also formed the tradition of using roe deer skins to make clothes from local materials.

Oroqen people will choose roe deer skins of different seasons according to their needs when making roe deer skins, and the mature leather clothing process is also unique.

Women wear large-breasted robes with vertical collars and slits on the front, back or sides. The robes are embroidered with decorations such as diamonds, rectangles and scrolling clouds, making the garments beautiful and sturdy.

In summer, women wear colorful silk and cloth hats, and in winter, they wear leather hats with colorful spikes.
