Does AO belong to the traditional aeration tank?
AO, a stands for anaerobic and o stands for aerobic.
According to different uses, it can be divided into nitrogen removal process and phosphorus removal process. Both can be called AO (subdivided into AnO and ApO).
1. Denitrification: Ammonia nitrogen in aerobic state in O pool is transformed into nitrate nitrogen under the action of nitrifying bacteria, and the mixed liquid in O pool flows back to A pool. Nitrate nitrogen is transformed into nitrogen under the action of denitrifying bacteria under anoxic condition in the pool.
2. The situation of phosphorus removal is as follows: the main bacteria are phosphorus accumulating bacteria, which release P in anaerobic state, absorb P in aerobic state, and finally remove P from the system when sludge is discharged from aerobic tank.
PS: If AO is used to treat high-concentration organic wastewater, I can only hehe.
