Introduction to the handle of props in Chinese opera?
The target, also known as the handle of the sword and gun, is the general name of the weapons and props used in China traditional opera performances, including knives, guns, swords, halberds, sticks, axes and cymbals. Generally, it can be divided into three types: long handles such as broadsword, pike, fork and stick. Short handles such as knives, swords, axes, hammers, etc. Bare hands are commonly known as handles, which means unarmed combat. Each set of handles has an appropriate name. In the performance, it is divided into solemn and funny hands. The former requires solemnity and majesty, such as the martial arts of Zhao Yun and Cao Ying in Changbanpo. The latter is witty and funny, which makes people laugh. For example, in "Noisy Heaven" and "Noisy Dragon Palace", the Monkey King fights with two generals, such as Giant Spirit God, Tortoise and Shrimp.
