What do you think of the 37 archaeological excavations that only excavated two thousandths of Sanxingdui?

Recently, major network hotspots have been restarted and refreshed by Sanxingdui archaeological excavation. Sanxingdui Cultural Site is considered as one of the most important archaeological discoveries in China in the 20th century and the ninth wonder in the world. 1929, a farmer in Guanghan County, Sichuan Province once again discovered a pair of jade, which unveiled the mysterious veil of Sanxingdui. 1934, the state organized an archaeological team to excavate Sanxingdui for the first time 1. So far, the country has excavated Sanxingdui 37 times. However, according to the director of Sanxingdui Archaeological Research Institute, the area of Sanxingdui currently excavated is only 20,000 square meters, and Samsung covers 12 square kilometers of cultural sites, so the area currently excavated only accounts for 2% of its total area. . Everyone is shocked, this is the rhythm of going out of the circle!

On 1986, 35 years ago, China archaeologists conducted a comprehensive excavation of No.2 pit in Sanxingdui Sacrificial Area 1, which lasted for two months and unearthed more than 700 pieces of cultural relics1,which shocked the world. Sanxingdui cultural relics are intricately sculpted and exquisitely sculpted, which is far from the style of our traditional cultural relics in China and subverts our understanding of China archaeology. Bronze statues and bronze trees are exquisite in workmanship and tall in size, and are known as the king of bronze in the world. In particular, the excavation of the bronze statue of 16 cm long eyes is even more incredible. Experts believe that this is the first king of ancient Shu, Can Cong.

Because it is amazing, many people think that Sanxingdui culture should be civilized in appearance. There is no basis for this statement, and archaeologists have denied it. At that time, the people of ancient Shu only worshipped their king as a god, so they made the king's eyes very big and long. Portrait is just a sacrifice. In 20021year, China Institute of Archaeology, together with Peking University, Sichuan University and Sanxingdui Institute of Archaeology, carried out a large-scale re-excavation of the site, with the goal of six sacrificial pits. This excavation is a model of scientific archaeology. Before construction, the roof of the shed should be covered with steel with a large span, and then a giant glass cover should be built for the specific pit to be excavated to control the internal temperature and humidity to prevent external germs from entering.

At present, the excavation work is under intense pressure. Up to now, more than 500 brand-new Sanxingdui cultural relics have been unearthed, including the largest and heaviest gold mask of the same period, various bronze statues, bronze masks, ivory, jade and silk products, and some bronzes with strange shapes. Experts don't know how to define them, and they also found a wooden box with a length of 1.5 m and a width of 0.4 m.
