Profile of Wang Zhambei

Wang Zhambei, the author of "The Revelation of Hundreds of Craftsmen in Northwest Hubei", was released in October 2011, which includes the handicrafts of pottery making, gabion bamboo weaving, shadow puppetry, paper-cutting, grass carpet weaving, black-and-white coloring of photographs, blacksmithing, handmade papermaking, casting of iron pots, production of ancient architectural components in Wudang, making statues of deities, making architectural models, and kungfu shoes, etc. Traditional crafts and production techniques have been or will be disappeared soon. traditional craft production techniques that have disappeared or are about to disappear. Since July 2008, Wang Zhanbei used his spare time to visit more than 40 craftsmen in five counties, one city and urban areas of Shiyan, and investigated their survival status, raw material resources, production and manufacturing process, product sales and use, human and social environment, etc., and collected more than 60,000 words of material, while shooting more than 2,600 corresponding pictures in different categories. He wrote 23 articles according to the category of handicrafts and assembled them into a book.
