What are the core producing areas of Fuding white tea?

Fuding White Tea has five core producing areas: Berlin Town, Panxi Town, Nodding Town, Taimushan Town and Guanyang Town.

After the founding of New China, Fuding State-owned Tea Factory Berlin Branch became a famous white tea producing area in China. 1968, Mr. Wang invented a new technology of white tea, and the export of white tea was entirely undertaken by the factory. It is also the birthplace of Berlin Kung Fu black tea.

2. Panxi Town

The forest coverage rate of the largest township in fuding city is 95%, with an average elevation of 500-800 meters, and the temperature is 2-4℃ lower than that in low-altitude areas. Taimu Mountain in the east and Berlin Town in the south are typical ecological towns.

3. Nod Town

Diantou Town is the distribution center of Fuding white tea trade, and many key tea enterprises have settled here.

4. Taimushan Town

The average elevation of Taimu Mountain in the territory is 600 meters, and it is shrouded in mist all year round. The temperature is 2-5℃ lower than that of the mountain. Taimushan Town is bordered by Panxi and Berlin, with high forest coverage, and the soil is very suitable for growing tea.

5. Guanyang Town

Guanyang Town is adjacent to Diantou Town, with the highest elevation of113.6 meters. Most administrative villages are located above 600 meters above sea level. The climate is quite different from that in low altitude areas. Although tea grows slowly and germinates late, its quality is good. Guanyang, as the only hometown of mountain white tea in Fuding, has high altitude, abundant rainfall and foggy all the year round, which makes the local tea growth have innate advantages.
