Wang Peisheng's Martial Arts Works
Wang Peisheng's martial arts works inherit and develop China's traditional martial arts theory, and there are many innovations. For example, the relationship between eyes and thoughts in the Tai Ji Chuan movement, Tai Ji Chuan's previous works and the teacher's dictation all say that the direction of eyes and the position of thoughts are the same. Wang Peisheng corrected this statement through long-term practice and put forward the concept of "the difference between God and mind". For example, when kicking, look at the hand in front and think about the hand behind, so that your feet will be strong and keep your body balanced. Wang Peisheng applied the meridian theory of traditional Chinese medicine to the Tai Ji Chuan movement, inherited and carried forward the tradition of combining martial arts with medicine, and founded the theory of "activating qi with meaning and transporting the body with orifices (points)", which was regarded as the important significance of Tai Ji Chuan. Every movement he teaches Taiji Zhuan, even one finger and one wrist, must follow the meridians and go to the acupoints. He is the first person in the contemporary martial arts field to apply Chinese medicine meridians to Tai Ji Chuan's fitness and martial arts.
