Chinese couplet selection

Couplets, one of the traditional cultures in China, also called couplets or couplets, are antithetical sentences written on paper, cloth or engraved on bamboo, wood and columns. Li Baiqiao vs Yang Guozhong

Yang was jealous of Li Bai and refused to accept it. He is always trying to find fault and ridicule him. One day, Yang invited Li Bai to make a three-step arrangement. That take the door, Yang quipped eagerly:

Two apes were chopping wood on the mountain and asked the monkeys how to saw each other.

"See" homophonic "sentence" and "monkey" naturally imply Li Bai. Li Bai smiled and said, "Prime Minister, please get up." Yang wants to finish these three steps quickly and let Li Bai give up. But as soon as he took the first step, Li Bai pointed to Yang's foot and said:

A horse is stuck in the mud. Look how the beast got out!

"hoof" and "title" are homophonic, and "beast" naturally refers to Yang. Yang Ben wanted to ridicule Li Bai, but Li Bai humiliated him, which made him very embarrassed.

The snake played a prank on the Buddha and slept in a clay bowl (homophonic in English "765432 1")

Note: This couplet was made for Dongpo to take his family out to play one day. I met Fo Yin digging mussels by the water, so I made this couplet. Homophonic: Fo Yin is looking for "delicious" food by the water. Hearing the news, Fo Yin and his family came to Dongpo.

And yes, homophonic: Dongpo River brings' cangue'.

The first part: Modern scholars are short-sighted, and the imperial capital forbids trying Jinshi, but they wet their necks and wipe them with towels.

The first part: Sinan women go to Tongren.

Bottom line: the chef will come.

Note: This couplet was written by Wu Jinsan in Qing Dynasty. When friends go out here, it means that Sinan women go to Tongren, which is homophonic: thinking about men and women walking with people; Jin San pointed to the chef who served the food.

The chef who came here was originally from Shangcai, and later lived in Huili. He often goes back and forth between these two places. Homonym: The chef who served the food stewed carp.

Part I: Wheat seeds are irrigated in heavy rain.

Bottom line: Tian He in the dry highlands must do it.

Note: this homonym is summer heavy rain; Mozi philosopher in the Spring and Autumn Period (Mai and Homophony); Guan Zhong: a figure in the Spring and Autumn Period; Gaudi: Emperor Gaozu Liu Bang; Tian He: Yi was a great scholar in the early Han Dynasty.
