Why designers don't want to be called artisans?

So to call designers as aesthetics, sounds a bit demeaning to the work and contribution of designers, people naturally do not like to hear.

Designers are different, is recognized as a group of people with design ideas. The right to think for themselves, the ability to influence the aesthetics of the customer, responsible for the brand image. A real designer will naturally use his work to make people respect.
