Besides entertainment, what do you get from the game?
Like reading books and watching movies, many times we play games for fun. I don't think anyone will disagree with this. If you play a game with this purpose and a game you like, then naturally you get the corresponding pleasure from the game.
For example, some of my friends like to play puzzle games, because for smart people, solving a complex problem will have a sense of accomplishment, which is an intellectual pleasure.
What we usually call fun is basically fun at this level. I think it can be summarized by the word "recreation". But real games can bring us much more than that.
Similarly, we still compare reading with watching movies. I believe many of us will learn by reading and watching movies (also referring to watching various videos).
The same is true of games, that is, we can actually learn through games. This sounds like a surprising point of view. Because in our traditional culture, reading has always been regarded as a means of learning and understanding the world.
