The tradition of knives

China's five famous knives, who is the king of knives in actual combat?

First, Miao Dao

Miao Dao, named after its slender shape like a rice seedling, is a traditional ancient Dao in China. Its slender body has the characteristics of both a knife and a gun, and one hand and two hands can be used alternately to give full play to the overall strength of the back.

This name has been officially recognized by the Beiyang government! Liu Yuchun created the knife method of Miao Dao according to the knife method circulating at that time. Later, his apprentice, Guo Changsheng, combined with his arm skills to create a two-way Miao Dao, which has been passed down to this day. The development process of Miao Dao is as follows: from tangdao, it developed into a Japanese long Dao, and the Ming Dynasty imitated the Japanese Imperial Saber, that is, the Qijia Dao just mentioned, and finally evolved into a Miao Dao in the late Qing Dynasty. It can be said that Miao Dao is the later development of Qijia Dao!

Second, Tangdao

If it is meaningless to say what kind of knife is the most precious and famous in the history of China, it is tangdao. As the peak of the feudal historical dynasty, it was in such a powerful era that the Tang Dynasty was magnificent and created the priceless tangdao!

Tangdao is the general name of four kinds of knives in Sui and Tang Dynasties, namely, horizontal knife, unfamiliar knife, long knife and instrument knife. Among them, the horizontal knife is a weapon equipped by ordinary soldiers in the Tang Dynasty, which is well-made and powerful.

Stranger's knife is a big weapon used by infantry against cavalry. According to records, Li, a famous Tang Dynasty star, "make good use of the knives of strangers, stop the heirs, and everyone will be broken!" The power of the strange knife is enormous. With one knife, the troops were cut in half!

Third, Yanling Road

When Mao Bowen, a famous Ming Dynasty soldier, went out to war, Shizong of Ming Dynasty wrote a poem: "The general is brave in the south, with a horizontal waist, and the wind blows mountains and rivers, and the lightning flashes high. There is a unicorn in the sky, so how can the ants in the cave escape? When I get home, I will unbutton my shirt with my husband. " This rhyming poem is magnificent and quite verve.

The "cross-waist autumn water Yanling knife" mentioned here refers to the popular Yanling knife in Ming and Qing Dynasties! Yanling Dao, with straight blade, sharp bend and reverse blade, was named after its shape like Yanling and prevailed in Ming and Qing Dynasties. After Yanling Dao came out, it was influenced by Mongolian Dao, so the tip began to tilt slightly. At that time, it was the largest and most widely used sword in the Ming and Qing Dynasties!

Fourth, Qijiadao In the middle and late Ming Dynasty, the Japanese pirates made an insurrection along the southeast coast and plundered everywhere. After imitating and improving tangdao, Japanese Dao is well-made and powerful with both hands, which has caused great lethality to the Ming army in the process of fighting with it.

After learning Japanese Dao, the Ming army produced a large number of imitation Japanese waist Dao. The so-called Qijia Dao, in a narrow sense, refers to the Dao used by Qi Jiguang army.

This kind of Dao draws lessons from the radian style of Japanese Dao to a certain extent. The handle is generally straight or bent forward, unlike the backward bending style of Japanese Dao, which conforms to the habits of Chinese people. It is with all kinds of weapons and equipment that Qi Jiajun won many battles in the war against the enemy, and finally defeated the enemy, completely quelling the chaos of the enemy!

Five machetes

During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, the people of China, who lacked weapons and equipment, took handfuls of broadswords to defend their homeland in the face of China's invaders.

The blade of the first half of the machete is very wide, and the mass of this part is relatively large, so the machete has an advantage when chopping. The use of broadsword can only be better played in melee and night attack.

The famous officers and men of 29 army broadsword team often attack the Japanese army barracks at night, which makes many Japanese soldiers lose their minds in their sleep, and has long been a nightmare for Japanese soldiers.

However, every effort of the broadsword team is a life-and-death battle. Nearly 500 members of 29 army broadsword team were killed in the night attack.

It can be said that our ancestors fought bravely with their blood and lives in exchange for today's peace situation!

Machete is not as excellent as the standard saber in any period in history, but its reputation is no less than any famous saber, and its name will always be recorded in the history of China people's heroic resistance to the invaders!
