In which dynasty did landscape painting become an independent discipline?

As early as in the tombs of the Han Dynasty, the embryonic form of landscape painting already existed. During the Wei and Jin Dynasties, with the prevalence of pastoral poetry, landscape painting gradually separated from figure painting and became an independent discipline, but its real development was after the Tang Dynasty. The landscape techniques in You Chuntu handed down by Zhan Ziqian in the Sui Dynasty are still stiff and naive. In the Tang Dynasty, represented by Li and his son, landscape painting really began to flourish. However, the proportion of figure painting in the whole Tang Dynasty is still very large, and important painters such as Yan and Wu Daozi all focus on figures. After the middle Tang Dynasty, Wei, a great man, appeared, and the status of landscape painting was rising day by day. But it was not until the demise of the Tang and Five Dynasties that landscape really surpassed figure painting and became the most important category of Chinese painting. The whole Song Dynasty became the world of landscape painting. And since then, no painting category has replaced the status of landscape painting. It can be said that landscape painting became the main theme of Chinese painting after the Song Dynasty.
