The rules of free fighting in China depend on the decisions of both sides in the competition. Usually you can't hit with the back of your head and crotch.

In any kind of fighting competition, coaches should foster strengths and avoid weaknesses for their own athletes, so the fighting competitions held in China are different, but usually the following violations are not allowed;
