Li Bai's political satirical poems inherited the tradition of Bixing since Lisao, pointing the sharp edge at the supreme ruler Tang Xuanzong and the dark politics he created. This is mainly manifested in the following three aspects:
1. Criticize Tang Xuanzong's loyalty and treachery with political satirical poems, which can't distinguish the virtuous from the foolish and waste talents;
2. Satire Tang Xuanzong's superstition of Taoism and seeking immortality;
Ironically, Tang Xuanzong indulged in debauchery and pleasure in his later years. The expression of the above satire is mainly achieved through comparison. The use of metaphor in Li Bai's political satires is rich and colorful, mainly in the following three aspects:
1, send affection to things, and ask for ridicule;
2. Say that the Tang Dynasty passed the Han Dynasty, satirizing the present with the ancient;
3. Write your feelings through the resentful feelings of men and women. Therefore, the overall characteristics of Li Bai's political satire poems can be summarized by Liu Xie's evaluation of Qu Fu: "Satire is more interesting".
