What is the decoration of Huanggong Temple in Chaoshan?
Jile Huanggong Temple is located in Tiexiang, Yi 'an Road, Chaozhou, and was built at 1887. It's Erjin Temple, with a porch on the left and right sides of the courtyard and a worship pavilion in front of the hall. It is famous for its exquisite Chaozhou gold lacquer wood carving decoration.
Ancestral halls, entrance halls, worship pavilions, hall beams and other places are decorated with gold lacquer wood carvings. Most of the content is the stage scene of traditional drama, with hundreds of characters and vivid images, which embodies the technological attainments of Chaozhou gold lacquer wood carving in the late Qing Dynasty.
