Overview of Xuanzhi Cultural Park
At 8 pm on August 8, 2008, the 29th Olympic Games opened in Beijing. This is the most exciting moment that attracts worldwide attention, and it is also a moment that makes 360,000 children of Jingchuan proud, because at the beginning of the opening ceremony, a real China scroll slowly unfolds, which tells people that tonight's performance will start with a China scroll.
Papermaking is one of the four great inventions in ancient China. At the beginning of May, 2008, a group of 8 people from the Beijing Olympic Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies Operation Center came to China Xuanzhi Cultural Park, China Xuanzhi Group Company, located in Jingxian County for investigation and shooting. At the same time, they proposed to the company to bring some raw materials and some auxiliary production tools back to Beijing to shoot the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in the studio, which attracted the attention of the company leaders and gave them strong support. The company prepared raw materials and semi-finished products such as pimps, pulp and paper stickers for the operation center, as well as auxiliary production tools in the process of fishing, drying and cutting. On May 18, the company sent four skilled workers, including Zhu Jiansheng, to Beijing to help and guide the operation center to build props, and personally demonstrated and assisted the operation center to successfully complete the video task of making ancient rice paper, which was accepted by the Olympic Organizing Committee.
Jingxian County is the hometown of rice paper in China. In 2006, "Xuan Paper Making Skills" was approved by the State Council as a national intangible cultural heritage protection list. Xuan paper is different from ordinary paper. It is made by hand with green sandalwood bark as the main raw material, shatian straw as the important ingredient and unique mountain spring water in Jingxian County. The process is very complicated. The rice paper made by it is as thin as cicada's wings and as moist as Qingyun. It not only has the characteristics of soft texture, white and delicate, smooth but not slippery, dense and light-transmitting, but also has the characteristics of non-rot, strong ink wetting and aging resistance. Suitable for books and paintings. Deeply loved by painters and calligraphers, Mr. Guo Moruo, a famous writer and historian in China, once said: "Xuan paper is an artistic creation invented by working people in China, and China's paintings and calligraphy can't express the wonderful taste of art without it."
