Rice growth process

(1) Seedling stage

May 1 to May 15

The seedling stage is when rice seeds are sown into the seedling tray. When the growing conditions are favorable, the seeds will pull out their embryonic roots, grow and emerge from the soil. This is the period when the seedlings begin to grow. Before the leaves grow out, they absorb nutrients from the soil by absorbing roots. When the leaves grow out, they are absorbed not only by the roots but also by the leaves as nutrients.

(2) Transplanting Period

May 15 to May 20

After the seedlings have been raised, it is time to transplant them. At this time, farmers will transplant the bred seedlings to the field, which is more conducive to the large-scale planting and growth of rice.

(3) Tiller stage

May 20 to May 30

Transplanting takes place after the seedlings have grown for some time. The stage from transplanting to continuous uprooting is called the tillering stage. Because the root system is damaged after transplanting, it takes some time to recover. It takes about 10 days for the tillers to recover and grow more leaves and roots.

(4) Tiller stage

June 1 to July 30

The tillering stage is the most important growth process of rice. During this process, rice seedlings grow at the time of nodulation, growing taller and stronger, accompanied by elongation of stems or internodes, until the young spikes finally differentiate.

(5) Title Date

August 1 to August 15

The tasseling stage is the process by which the rice spike grows in the seedling, with the moment the tip pulls out of the scabbard leaf sheath marking the beginning of the gestation period. The panicle continues to elongate until it is mostly or completely pulled out of the leaf sheath.

(6) Flowering period

August 15 to August 31

Flowering is the process of fertilization of rice stamens and pistils. During the tasseling stage, the grain is hollow. After flowering and fertilization, seeds are formed in the grains of the rice spike, which is the last grain of rice we eat. So if the flowering process is not good, the yield of rice will be low.

(7) Fruiting period

September 1 to September 20

The fruiting period is the most important stage of rice maturity. The best weather at this time is dry and hot with plenty of sunshine, which is favorable for seed ripening. Gradually, it goes from milky ripening to wax ripening to late ripening, and finally the rice is fully ripe.

(8) Harvesting Period

Mid-Autumn Festival~National Day

Generally speaking, in the Northeast, it takes about four and a half months to plant and harvest rice. Between the Mid-Autumn Festival and the National Day, the rice will be fully mature and will enter the harvesting period. Immediately after harvesting, it is threshed, dried and milled to become the freshest rice. /3c6d55fbb2fb4316d5ff22eb32a4462308f7d3bb?x-bce-process=image%2Fresize%2Cm_lfit%2Cw_600%2Ch_800%2Climit_1%2Fquality%2Cq_85% 2Fformat%2Cf_auto
