What role does line drawing play in art education?

Introduction:

It is a painting method that completely uses lines to represent objects in Chinese painting. There are single hook and multi-hook. Hook a line into a single hook at a time, with one color of ink, or with two shades of ink according to different objects. Re-hook is to use light ink, and then re-hook part or all according to the situation. The lines do not overlap once according to the original road, and its purpose is to increase the texture and the change of light and shade, making the image more vivid. The double hook line must be smooth and natural, otherwise it will be stiff. It is very difficult to express the shape, spirit, light, color, body and texture of an object with lines. Because the choice is simple and the relationship between reality and density is deliberately compared, line drawing has the characteristics of simplicity, conciseness, clear generalization and no color. There were many sketch masters in ancient China, such as Wu Daozi, Zhao Mengfu, Gu Kaizhi and Li, who all made outstanding achievements. Sketch is more common in figure painting and flower-and-bird painting. During the Song and Yuan Dynasties, there were also painters who painted flowers and birds with lines, such as Zhong Ren in the Northern Song Dynasty, Yang Wuxia in the Southern Song Dynasty, Zhao and Zhang Shouzheng in the Yuan Dynasty.

Classification:

(1) Single line: Lines with the same ink color are called single lines. Made of different shades of ink, such as using light ink to draw flowers, thick ink hook leaves is called single thick light hook. Accurate, smooth, vivid and coherent line drawing is required.

(2) Re-hook: first, all the objects are hooked with thick ink, and then some or all of the objects are outlined with thick ink, which is called re-hook, so as to strengthen the spirit and texture of the depicted objects.
